I'm pretty new to bike maintenance and recently tried adjusting my dropper post, thinking it would be straightforward. Now, whenever I press the dropper lever (really hard), the post either goes up halfway or not at all.
A moment before, the post was working fine. Unfortunately, I don't have a shock pump to check the PSI. I've tried adjusting the seat clamp using this [image guide] and played around with the cable tension, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? I'd really appreciate some help!

It’s possible you disconnected the cable/housing from the bottom of the dropper if it’s internally routed hard to say without seeing it. You can take it to a shop and have them inspect. If it was working fine and you moved it up or down within the frame without care to make sure the cable was freely moving with it, it’s likely the cable is no longer where it should be and usually a simple fix.
