My nephew and niece both have training bikes, the peddles on my nephews keep bike keep coming loose. When they do the peddles and chain spindle move around making the chain fall off, is there any way to fix this? I noticed his one is missing this black seal.

One piece cranks/bottom brackets tend to do this, especially kids bikes. My quick and dirty fix is this:

This video goes over adjusting one piece bottom brackets, which is what you have here.
My quick and dirty fix on kids bikes is to put blue loctite on the (cleaned off) threads and let it dry for 10 minutes before reassembly.
Looking at that bottom bracket, it’s time for a better bike. 👍
Looks like its missing the washer. That helps keeping the adjustment.
