It’s not good, but we all make mistakes. I’ve made plenty in my own job, and will probably make plenty more in the future. I wouldn’t let a single incident affect my judgement of the shop, and it would matter more to me how they handle it when you take the bike back.
I think mistakes happen and I wouldn’t hold this single example against them. If something like this happens again, then I’d be a lot more pissed. But it’s a one off. Some shops have dozens of bikes to fix or put together every day. People get tired. They get interrupted. It’s not indicative of a problem IMO. What they do is next quite important though
Errors happens, especially, when there is too much to do in the summer, to earn enough to survive the winter.
This error ist sad, but not a Security-Thread. Just bring the Bike back to the shop and let them fix their mistake.
