  1. Yeah 10 hours of focused in CLOSE UP olympic watching in FULL HD is just as “unhealthy” as a fun globe trotting drink bit. ENJOY YOURSELVES

  2. I'm from the country of the beverage of the day.
Unbelievable to hear Nora saying "caipirinha", "saúde" and "cachaça" without even flinching…and with perfect accent!
    Like how??!! Get outta here!
With all the quizzes and french word of the day and (insert language) references and flair and beauty…this is becoming surreal!
I'm convinced Nora is an alien. She's too perfect to be human.
Ma man Skeets the luckiest man alive!
The 'triples' in the BMX was so exciting, the crowd went nuts!
I've tried to watch Skiff and Dinghy but every time it gets postponed, it's annoying, so I bailed out.
PS: I just realised it's gonna be reeeeeally hard to get back to watch the Classic Factory 'classic' line-up.
You guys will have to find a way to bring back the Madame from time to time, seriously.

  3. Really encourage you to check out the Women's Shooting Rifle 3 Position!

First, shooting continues to be the most stylish sport. The Chinese world champion is rocking a multi coloured shooting jacket and a gun adorned with Hello Kitty stickers.

Second, it seems a key part of the sport involves a costume change. They have to shoot from sitting, standing and lying positions and have a limited time to move between them. BUT they are wearing these BDSM inspired jackets, covered in belts, buckles, straps. The girls basically have to set up a little camp when they have to go to the prone position.

Third, the ending is so dramatic. The leadup is a little slow, sure. They shoot in all 3 positions to determine the ranking, ending in standing position, which is the hardest and least stable. THEN it's a single shot elimination. Each shot the lowest total score is cut. And as fewer people remain the tension is crazy! Suddenly shots go off target and the rank moves dramatically. This women's comp was so tense at the end.

Really highly recommend it. I don't know shit about the sport but it was a blast!

  4. omg Indonesia mentioned! Susi Susanti is a legend here in Indonesia!

also in the badminton men's single of Barcelona '92, Alan Budikusuma from Indonesia won the gold medal. Alan and Susi were dating and later married, earning the nickname golden couple.

  5. Thank you for the shootout for our first gold medalist Susi Susanti, from Indonesian No Dunks Fans here!! here's a trivia for Nora, did you know that Susi Susanti is married to the men's singles gold medalist in that year, Alan Budikusuma? Her life story was adapted to a sports movie biopic, perhaps you guys are interested to look that up, Susi Susanti: Love All. Cheers!

  6. Okay I love Nora. I am somewhat biased after she wore a McLaren shirt—regardless—I DEMAND THAT Y’ALL RESURRECT NO BRAKES WITH HER AS CO-HOST!!!!!

  7. French fan here !
Excellent french word of the day 👌 Let‘s put it in work : « C‘est la fin des haricots » for Wemby and the french basketball team 😂
Love the show, keep it on the good work.

  8. Hey guys! I have been loving Summer of Champions. Question for you: what are some other sports with wedgie-like events? It could be any odd event that disrupts play and fills you with wonder. I would love to see a kayak get wedged against a wall during a race. Keep up the good work!

  9. Its incredible! My girl also wanted to go full horse! Once I learned from this pod that they got blankets for winning I passed on the information to her and she was all in

  10. I haven't watched any other Olympic podcasts either, but I can confirm that yours is the absolute Number 1 , Gold Medal 🥇 best Olympic podcast . It hits all the notes 🎶 🎵 I can't imagine a more enjoyable daily recap !( And I agree with the consensus that one drink a night is completely acceptable)

  11. Full horse! Love this show.

Might not care about men’s singles in tennis but check out the mixed doubles – couple or are they? That got the gold medal yesterday. Short shorts, romance, cryptic tweets, gold medals. Has it all.

  12. On Marchand breaking records…. ?Could it be that while the shallow pool (2.1m vs 3m normally) slows most swimmers due to water turbulence, since Marchand stays under so long, he deals better with this and ends up winning and breaking records??? Is he much faster than he was in races in a 3m deep pool?

  13. absolutely the best show on olympics, ive watched every episode! the chemistry is amazing, and is a super funny show, and highlights interesting stuff… the little quizzes nora is making in the middle of the shows are hilarious too, as is the "anana" french word game! instant classics! 😎😎💎💎 it genuinely fills me with joy to see you all having fun together on your podcast 🙏🏾🙏🏾

  14. Tearing up again from your recap – saga’s a legend. 100% agree that it’s those stories of triumph over adversity that make the olympics.
