Hi all, have had this this bike for almost a month now and has been next level. Have probably put around 700 miles on the bike with no “major” issues. I’ve noticed that the matte finish on the handles bars is wearing down (picture attached). I was wondering if this is something that people have noticed?/if this is a defect in the bikes paint?

That looks more like you polished it to a gloss with your hands.
Sweat will do that. Maybe not what you want to hear, but it’s true. It’s normal wear over time and contact.
Mine look pretty good after a year. I use Silca’s cleaners on it and any glossy residue from hands, sweat, liquids, etc, comes off and back to its original look.
Sweat and friction will do that.
Yeah, wash it sometime. Dawn dish soap & water
1 maybe you been grabbing that area and it got polished by your hand
2 damaged by sweat or whatever
3 or maybe just some oil or grease in it
Try wash it off with soap and see what’s happening
