3/8” (or maybe it was 1/4”?) steel rod from Home Depot was about $6. An hour or so of fiddling, bending, and wrapping with some electrical tape. Found a little bungee to keep it from bouncing. Haven’t ridden with it yet, but it seems to work just fine.

I watched a video the other day with the creator, and that’s pretty much exactly how he prototyped it when he came up with the idea. Very cool stuff, thanks for sharing. Might inspire me to try something similar.
Great work! I’m thinking of doing this myself, using hollow cro-moly tubing; this is a lot more economical though.
Side note, lovely 750. There’s one just like it near me that’s been for sale for years; the guy wants over $500 for it.
