Somehow my bottom bracket is coming unthreaded. Do I need to take the cranks off and tighten it back on or is this a sign of something else going wrong?
This is a trials bike if that makes any difference.
The bottom bracket shell (ie where the bb sits in the frame) and/or the bb itself may have damaged threads. Can’t be certain without taking out the bb and carefully examining the threads.

Yep, you need to pull the crank and then pull both BB cups and inspect the threads.

It doesn’t look good. Threads are coming apart
I’m pretty sure the bearings are part of the cup that gets screwed in. It’s a Sram Dub
