forgot to mention, i was riding fsa a wing bars, really didnt like the aero shape, made it difficult to secure accessories on the bars.
I personally don’t like flared bars on gravel bikes either! Have a few lightly used flared bars just sitting in a closet at home as I never enjoyed them as much as standard drop bars
The cockpit for my road bike and gravel bike are essentially same (seat post, saddle, stem, bars). I find it more comfortable to switch between bikes.

I ditched them too and never going back

I took off wide flares and popped on some narrow flares on my gravel bike, and narrower non-flared on my road bike and I think it’s 100% better
You use the drops?
I also enjoy the non-flared drop bars on my gravel bike. Shoulder width apart. Basically just traditional road bars. I’ve tried flared and wide bars on friends’ bikes and they feel awkward.
