I have some vacation saved up and am hoping to ride the Chilcotins later this summer. I'm looking at the Camelsfoot and best of loops on bikpacking.com but am open to suggestions. I'll have 6-7 days so I was thinking of some kind of loop where I could come back and grab more food halfway. Any suggestions?

On the gear front, I'll be riding a hard tail with a handbar harness and a few accessory bags. I dont own a seat pack but I can move my OMM rack shown in the picture above over to it and attach either the panniers in the picture or a drybag on top. It seems like a lot of people recommend a backpack with the amount of hike-a-bike but I've only hiked shorter sections. Usually I love the no backpack option, but would that be a mistake? I have a 12L evoc and a 30L deuter pack that could work, but ideally I'd be able to strap it to the rack.

Any insight into route or gear would be greatly appreciated!
