Work-in-Progress turning a steel frame Bianchi into a commuter. Usually I would wait until my ride is 100% before riding and tweaking but I've been really excited about these changes so I rode it into work this morning. Usually takes 30 minutes get to my office via shuttle. Today, front door to office in about 10 minutes. Anyway, proud of myself for just getting on the bike and doing it.
The build so far:
1995 Bianchi Campione d'Italia – obtained via Craigslist in a 3 way barter for a kayak and winch, built with Ultegra groupset, cockpit, and wheel set obtained via Craigslist for $120, rear wheel Cycleops Power Meter obtained from Craigslist for $50, PNW The Coast 520mm handlebar (absolutely love this bar and I've only ridden it today), Panaracer Pasela 32mm front tire (waiting on 25mm Pasela for rear, rear is currently Vittoria Rubino Pro 25mm).
Looking forward to spending more time on the bike.
