When biking home last night about 22:30, I noticed bats hunting insects which were drawn to the streetlights.
I don't usually bike here that late because I have small kids. I had no idea that we have bats in my neighbourhood.
It was such a joy to see them flapper about like black pieces of paper above a fire. And I would never had noticed them if I had been by car.
(I am far enough north that the sun only dips below the horizon for a few hours this time of year. Hence the sky not being dark).
