My sister gifted me this bike, I’m pretty new to bikes but I’m trying to fix this one up. It runs pretty smooth,the only thing is that when I ride once it goes up to the fourth gear the wheel will shift and go into the frame, I look at some pictures and it seem that it’s missing a derailleur or sum like that. Any suggestions on how to fix it/ clean it up ?

Someone converted it to a single speed.Thats why there’s no RD.
Before you decide to put any money into it, make sure it fits you okay. That looks like a 58cm frame, so if you are between 5′”11-6’1″ it should fit. If you are not that tall, or taller you should get rid of it and use that money to get something that fits.
It’s kind of hard to tell, but it looks like they didn’t cut the hanger off, so you might be able to put a new derailleur on. You’ll need to get new shifters as well. You’re talking about $150-200 at least to get that thing working with gears again.
