Does the crank puller have more than one cap, perhaps a wider one for ISIS/Octalink bottom brackets? Be sure to use the smaller cap, the one that’s slightly smaller than the end of the square taper spindle.

Once you confirm you have the correct tool, and fully engaged threads, realize it takes a good “ooomph” to pull the crank off the spindle.

Heat up the body of the crank arm. A heat gun will do just fine.

Show a photo of the crank puller you are using – they have different pins/front pieces that you can swap out for the right crank size/type

Make sure the tool is only hitting the square face. Then give it some real force.
The tool may have a cap that is hitting the round surface. If this is the case you will rip out all your threads… ask me how I know.
