No, I wouldn’t trust it. Carbon fiber seatposts are not strong against that kind of force being applied to it, and you’re one bad ride away from snapping the seatpost.
The Travoy is a great trailer, and very popular with Bromptons, but I never run it on a Carbon Fiber post of any kind. Just get a new seat post for the trailer.

normally, if I trust it to hold me, I trust it to pull a small weight, but I don’t know about clamping on carbon fiber….

Is the mesh bag you put on the burley travoy from burley? otherwise where did you get it from?
