This my Trek 500. Probably, as the pre owner painted it completely black and the paint job is shit. I put on a new stem for a more upright position and flat pedals with fixie straps. This bike rides amazing. It's more like a resto mod, than an xbike, but I wanted to post here, as this sub has the best suggestions. My question; should I strip the paint and give it a new paint job? If so, what color would you go for? I've been thinking of painting it glossy white, put a lot of stickers on it and then clear coat it, while making the fork a glossy black.
P.S. please don't suggest fenders and racks. This is my road bike and I have other bikes, that have fenders and racks 😀

If it was just sprayed over original paintjob, brake cleaner or acetone will get rid of the paint very quickly.
