  1. In parts now, dont have a drive side picture. Alu frame with merida 2000 sticker. Shimano sport lx group and biopace crank. Cant find any inf on google. Maybe the frame is worth something to someone

  2. Group set and fender eyelets lead me to believe this is an entry level to mid range bicycle at time of creation.

    Had the same bike for a short while before selling it for someone else in 2018 or 2019.
    The frame is a binded steel aluminum construction. The tubes are aluminum, but the lugs and rear triangles are steel.
    The shimano exage sport groupset is almost 105 level, gets the job done but nothing to spark joy in the average collector or enthusiast.

    All in all a solid work horse bike. Although I do not know how well the frame glue joints hold up after 30 years.

  4. Something funky going on at the bottom of the head tube where it meets the down tube. Hard to tell from the pic, maybe a repair. Just looks odd.

    The Merida brand is sold primarily in South Korea. I used to live there and I have one from 2013. I love it. As said by others, it is associated with specialized.
