Thought this was 'Bill's Easton Connection' when I saw the Strava map – did that a few years ago and it does a similar route. The whole morning everyone was talking about Gold Hill, it turned out to be one of the easier climbs of the day! My experience doing a couple of years in a row of Belgian cobbled climbs with a massive Carradice might have helped though….

For water try churchyards and cemeteries – they often have a tap for flowers/gardeners.
