  1. Assuming everything else fits (like the rear fender struts), I’d just put a couple of zip ties in there, it doesn’t weigh much so they’ll be strong enough. Not sure why it doesn’t fit otherwise, looking online the Larkspur seat stays aren’t particularly low.

    Nice looking bike though, I must say. Could make for a comfy upright tourer.

    ETA: are you sure you have the correct fenders fitted front and back? Could be that this one is designed to fit the fork on the front?

  2. It looks like you have the incorrect mudguard dude, you need one that you can install with a long bolt that you insert from inside the mudguard and up through the hole and attach with a nut. Either that or you mixed up the front and rear because you usually see that sort of attachment on the front mudguards.
