Did a small hop less than 1 mile into my ride today popped something in the bottom bracket. I don't think the left prank is supposed to do that…
My question is, how much work and expense is it to fix a bottom bracket? Trying to decide whether it's worth doing on my 20-year-old bike.

Love the gif. It looks like it could be a square taper bottom bracket. Those are cheap to replace 20-40 US for the part and maybe another 20 to have a shop replace it. If you have the tools it’s a pretty easy job.
