    Those are test ride pedals. They’re not really produced with longevity or comfort in mind

  4. 1st thing I do with a bike is make sure it has metal pedals. I’m too hard on my bikes for cheap components.

    If they came with the bike they’re effectively “get you started” pedals, and I think you’re expected to buy ‘proper’ pedals of your choosing ASAP.  They last very little distance at all.

    I still got through several sets of metal cage-pedals (3-4000miles each) before getting some cast flat pedals with studs, which are still going strong.
