Look into inline barrell adjusters. You can add them to your cabling to have some adjustment for the front derailleur

You should be able to set the derailleur properly without an extra tensioner. They are more for quick adjustments.
Cable pull might be the issu though

I mean I certainly don’t love it and I wouldn’t want it but it’s not even particularly controversial by the standards around here 👌
