I recently bought an Endurace 6, it arrived a few weeks ago and due to work I’ve not been able to do some long distance cycling yet.

I went to attach my second water bottle holder today underneath the seat post and noticed how off centres the screws are. They are so off centered that every water bottle holder I have tried hits the chain and I can’t physically line it up.

Is this a defect or a Canyon quirk? The images on the website don’t show this angle unfortunately.

  1. It’s is normal, that the bottle cage screws don’t align with the center of the seat tube since the seat tube is also not centered by design. But normally the bottle cage should still have enough space. If not, it might be a defect.

My Endurace Al 7 looks pretty similar, but I have enough space for my bottle cage.

This is intentional by design. The seat tube and crank housing is offset to the left side of the bike to make room for the crank side chain ring.

To recenter the bottle cage, it needs to be offset an equal amount to the right.
