Hey all,
I have an endurance bike. While trying to pack it for traveling, I may have damaged the rear thru axle a bit.
My LBS says I can no longer use this axle. Is this true? Am I damaging my bike if I put it back in and continue using it?

It just looks dirty? Maybe clean the threads a bit
Give it a good clean. How have you managed to damage the last thread? Over tightened? As a mechanical engineer I would just clean the thread up with a fine file and keep using but depends how much you want to spend if you fuck your frame hole up…
