Well guys, gals, and none binary pals took the plunge and went with a Chinese frame manufacturer based off of Joes review from China cycling. Wanted to use this as a live thread of my experience both with Panda Podium (joes website) and the frame itself, once it gets here. Had a few criteria for my frame pick UDH, Carbon, Race geometry, and able to handle 45mm tires. A lot of searching through Santa Cruz, Cervelo, Specialized and others I finally decided on the G Major frame by VoiceVelo. They've got a cool background with their founder/owner being the first Chinese guy to finish Cape epic (did it on his full suspension that he designed and made).
1/25/24 – Order placed: First takes is the Panda Podium has had good customer service so far prior to even buying a frame they were able to answer a lot of my questions on the frame prior and generally seem likes a lot of dudes who just like bikes. Order was straight forward and was happy I could use pay pal for a little extra security.

There is alot of gems hidden in the Chinese and Taiwanese domestic markets but also alot of junk with terrible qc. It’s fantastic having someone like Joe from panda podium on the ground sourcing all the good stuff.
what’s the draw of spending 2K on a chinese frame

If I went this route, I wouldn’t want any branding on the bike. Looked at the site and they all have large names (big rock, tavelo) on the down tubes.
