Might be a dumb question but why is my chain doing this? I am running a sram rival axs 2x setup with a shimano 105 cassette, I’ve been told this can work flawlessly, and I hope this is not what’s causing the chain to do this. Is my chain too short maybe?

Because it was routed through the derailleur cage incorrectly, and each link is getting caught in the little tab in the cage.
It’s routed through the derailleur incorrectly. If you put it on the ither side if the tab in the middle of the cage, you’ll sort it out
