      I love how Chuck consistently brings down Renard for winning 2 African cup of nations which is a really hard to win because of the set up of the tournament, one being with Zambia lol. But simultaneously pushes for Thierry Henry, who was no doubt one of the best players ever, but has literally failed everywhere as the head manager in positions where he has had a lot more talent than his opponents, just look at Monaco and his time at Belgium. The strawman argument made to push for Henry was ridiculous as well because he brings up Xabi Alonso who has shown to be a great coach and saying that we should do that for Henry? I get that he's your friend or whatever but think about US soccer and it's progression rather than just pushing your friends, it's really sad.

      "I lead w/ my heart". – Chuck. That's the true statement. The untrue 1 is then "I base decisions on facts". If Thierry Henry was an even worse version of Jurgen for the US at this important time, we know who to blow off steam to.

      I'm not sure I get the Vieira hate. As a Palace fan, I thought he did a good job and was screwed in the firing. And he kept a mediocre Strasbourg side up in Ligue 1. I'd say he's more accomplished on that front than Henry, and he likes to play an attacking style of football that these guys seem to want. (I will say, though, I'm getting tired of this style conversation. Let's not devolve into England fans who look at finals and semifinals appearances as being unacceptable because we thought the style of play was 'boring'.)

      Charlie is out of his mind. Xavi, Klopp, or Guadiola won't coach USMNT. All these coaches are top club coaches, but they need certain type of players to fit their scheme to be effective. Sergio Dest is good player for USMNT but couldn't play for Xavi. Just because they won in club game, Charlie thinks they will succeed with national team. They don't have players the whole year to learn or buy players to fit their scheme.

      Chuck dismissed Herve Renard for winning 2 AFCON Cups. But wants Henry hired on the spot if he wins a U-23 tournament as the host nation and expected favorite. 🤣
