Total newb question…came out to my bike today and the bolt that holds the handlebars in place was spontaneously missing (city life!). Just need to order a new one (the nut on the other side it still there). What’s the specific name for this part so I can look it up? Thanks!

It’s unlikely that in 2024 you will be able to find parts for this suspension stem. However very likely that a bolt from the hardware store will be safe to ride. The part you’re looking to replace is a threaded stem.
That’s an old (and sketchy) stem even in the 90s/2000s. The guy who messed this up probably cares for you loljk. Best solution is to buy a new solid stem.
There’s a reason you can’t buy new flex stems anymore. They’re called lawyers. Do yourself a favor and get a new solid stem. Jesus… there’s a vintage Girvin flex stem on eBay used for $248. Find the bolt and sell that puppy. Or go all in… fix it and get a softride beam seat support. Full 90s nostalgia.
