I have a 2013 Trek 1.5 compact with tiagra components + fsa Vero crankset. I've used and abused this bike, and it's overdue for some much needed tlc. During the last ride, I felt some clicking + audible creaking coming from my BB. I put the bike on the trainer this morning and I was able to replicate the clicking/ creaking sounds. I am assuming my BB is on the way out and is should be replaced.

I plan on replacing the BB, chain, and cassette this weekend. Should I also replace the crankset while I have it off?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like there is some life left in the cassette and chainrings, I’d just replace the chain and see how you get on.

Are you absolutely sure it’s the bb? Double check seatpost clamp and seat clamp

I say do the bring ring too. They aren’t too expensive. Leaving it will be ok but your shifting will be lazy and when you are in your big ring/smaller cogs combinations you will get a noticeable resonance.
