ChicanoCultureSB’s Michael Montenegro joins Santa Barbara Talks with Josh Molina to talk the success of his ChicanoCultureSB project on Instagram. Montenegro documents Chicano and Santa Barbara history on his popular Instagram site ChicanoCultureSB. He has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Santa Barbara Independent, Noozhawk and many other media outlets. His goal is to show Santa Barbara, in all its forms. The 33-year-old regularly gives talks about local history, and was integral in preserving the murals at Ortega Park. He is also holding big event to honor Santa Barbara’s Low Riding community.
