I really like wald folding baskets, great for chucking a bag in for commuting or taking the kids out with the flexibility of additional storage if you want to do a little shopping on the way home.
However they’re far too small to do a family shop, I wanted to use them on different bikes depending upon my plans for the day and even when folded interfered with a child seat, so I needed a way to quickly attach and detach them.
The pannier hardware took a bit of tracking down and was tricky to fit on a folding basket(the inside fixings were too bulky and stopped the basket folding up so I had to improvise) but has worked really well for several years now. I was a little worried that they might get stolen but I guess they’re a little too out of the ordinary for any thieves to have noticed how easily they could be stolen.
