I think the price is appropriate. I’d recommend riding it before to make sure it’s the right size. I’m 5’9” and ride a M (54cm) Poseidon X. I think it’s a little on the long side, but not a dealbreaker. Still comfortable.

Stock shifters and RD are Microshift Advent X 10-speed. Ultegra RX is the predecessor to GRX, so it is an upgrade. The owner saved on shifters by using Ltwoo. I don’t know much about them, other than they are a budget brand. They probably work fine.

The stock X brake calipers are subpar, so the compressionless housing is a plus. Not sure how much that affects the braking, but people in the Poseidon FB group like the upgrade. Before swapping out to hydro, I switched to dual piston trp spires to get better stoping power.

As for the saddle upgrade: Saddles are personal preference, and you may change it out regardless.

  2. They definitely just modified a stock build rather than built up custom from the frameset. The price is good but the drivetrain modifications have left it with small gear range compared to stock. I guess they wanted to go to 11speed but they have used a road derailleur intended for 2×11, which is why they are limited to a 11-34t cassette, the stock build is 11-48t! Also the Ltwo shifters they used do not have as good of a reliability reputation as the stock Microshift AdventX.
So overall this doesn’t have any more value than a stock Poseidon X, possibly less if people are scared by having had someone mess with it, but if it is good condition and you either live somewhere flat or are interested in replacing the rear derailleur and cassette it is still ballpark reasonable asking price.
