  1. you have to work the knot around the front chainring. idk how else to explain it but if it got that way somehow you can reverse what ever happened and you can sort it out, the chain is fine. the part of the chain going around the chainring has been turned upside down in effect if that makes sense.

  2. You can get it worked out. You’ll need to remove the wheel to get some slack on the chain. 

    Watch the linked video… You don’t have the exact same problem, but you do need to work out two complementary kinks. This will sort of get you in the right frame of mind:
