Took my buddy and friends on a 40 mile birthday ride yesterday, a little over a week after our area was hit by a major flooding event. Beautiful day riding and only one hike a bike !

I lead gravel rides for my club and I sometimes get new roadie converts, I do rides like this (this is considered a proper gravel ride to me) and they are taken aback that it can get this rough and their feet will probably touch the ground at some point and get muddy and wet. Usually though, by the end of the ride over a beer they’ll thank me for pushing their limits and learning new interesting routes.
