I’ve ordered a Canyon Grizl 1by, but i’m a bit worried about spinning out downhill too early with 40t 11-42 cassette. (2by is sold out since months and no more available in the color i’d prefer)
Shimano cassettes max for high gears is 11t cogs, so only option is changing the chainring to 42t or 44t if it fits.
The Votec vrx gravel bike [https://www.votec.com/produkt/vrx/](https://www.votec.com/produkt/vrx/) has a Shimano 600/800 group set like the Grizl, but has a SRAM XG 1150 10-42t cassette. This allows a higher speed downhill without loosing the low gear ratio which is kinda what i want.
Has someone done this before?
