Trying to do more of my own bike work so apologies for a pretty elementary question.
I’m working on an old single speed that I picked up and want to take this binding bolt out but I cannot get it off for the life of me! Not sure if it’s the rust or simply user error (probably the second option haha)?
Any tips would be much appreciated! 🙏🏼

Heat, penetrating oil,repeat a few times then crank them hard. I would say that nut is toast anyway
Dremel or angle grinder the binder. It’ll shoot out in both directions once it saws through, but it’ll come out
Some good penetrating oil, PB Blaster or maybe Liquid Wrench. A six point socket or box end wrench once the oil has had a few hours to soak in (maybe multiple applications)
Drop a little penetraing oil on there, and come back in a day.

other than the already mentioned solutions you could also use a nut splitter to remove the nut.
What tool(s) are you using? You should be using a box-end or combination wrench in the appropriate size, usually 13mm or 14mm for that style of seat post binder.
Also, make sure you are turning the nut (counter-clockwise to loosen) and not the bolt. Usually a seat post binder bolt like the one in the pic has a little tab underneath the bolt head, which fits into a slot in the frame. The tab is supposed to prevent the bolt from turning, but you should still use a second wrench on the bolt head to hold it in place, as you are turning the nut with the other wrench.
Tap it after you apply the oil. It helps with penetration.
