I’d guess between 67-71ish. Looks to be the older, more relaxed geometry.

Do any of the components have a date stamp? Sometimes that’s easier to identify than trying to decipher a serial.

Looks like a PX10 from the black nervex lugs, stronglight crank &forged dropouts, and what’s left of of a reynolds 531 sticker. There isn’t one on the frame?

The black brake levers indicates that it’s prior to 1973 and the Peugeot logo in the black background tells us that it may be built in the 70’s. You might be right on the money with 1971. You should check the rear derailleur where a date that may be indicated there. Cheers

I have a 72, you can check the wheels, they should have a date mine did.

Well whatever year that is, nice lugs (need that black peeled off though) and crankset. And stem. Congrats!

Definitely a PX10. From what I’ve been able to find, they switched from the push-rod front derailleur to the parallelogram style in ’72, so it’s no earlier than that. The fancy lugs were last available in ’74, so it’s no later than that. So, somewhere between ’72-’74. Don’t believe anyone who tells you the first number of the SN is the year. It usually doesn’t bear out based on frame or part details, and when it does line up, it’s by coincidence.
You can look at various parts for date stamps, but remember that there may have been overstock on the shelf for a while before it got put onto a bike.
