So I love all types of wheeled machines. Bikes, scooters, motorcycle etc. I saw someone selling this and wanted it immediately having no clue how it works.
I have been trying for some time to ride this Halfbike but I just can't ever feel safe on it. It's so unstable because of the rear wheel steering. Any slight movement or lean causes dramatic shift in direction and the back wheels constantly feel like they're losing traction and about to fan out and throw me off. Also my wrists hurt from the constant force needed to hold the handle bars. I'm considering selling it as well but also hate quitting. So if anyone has some tips on how to master this thing please share!
AND: being that I love wheeled things. Can anyone recommend other weird or unconventional bikes? I own an Elliptigo and may buy their standing up bike. I'm even considering buying a Penny farthing bike online. Unicycles are on the list one day. But I especially would love something as compact as the Halfbike that I could just leave in my car for a road trip in case I get a sudden urge to casually ride around some town I'm visiting?? THANK YOU!

Looks like a great design if your goal is to fly over the handlebars.
I’m….quite curious as to how this will brake from moderate speeds without inducing an endo. I imagine this will mostly be used at slightly-faster-than-walking speeds.
Then again, I have seen someone actually using a step bike (sort of: the ‘step’ went on a sort of forward and downwards motion before sliding back and up) on a closed road social cycling event, so I’m sure it’s fine.
