Its ok, you can put it back on. The 3 silver tooth will prevent you from putting it back in, you can wrap a loop of string around them to make them collapse

To be precise your freehub fell off, not your cassette

Looks like the nuts that hold the free hub on the axle backed out. You will need to re tighten those to keep your free hub on. Probably easier to do that if you take the cassette off first.
Edit: On a second look I don’t see the threads on that axle they could be just covered in grease but if it isn’t you have broken the in axle and depending on the hub it may be difficult to source a replacement axle. Cheap folks will tell you that you can just keep together with the through axle that is not the best idea in the long run.

That happened with my Zipp wheels when I was fitting the discs. I shit myself and thought I had broken them but it all went back together dead easily. Just make sure the pawls haven’t fallen out

The drop aside is op not due for a new cassette just based on teeth wear? The largest gear is pretty ground down and there’s some pointy teeth which I assumed meant it’s toast?

The bike frame holds the cassette on the axle when it’s in the bike. There should be a cap with an o ring that holds the cassette on but it’s not very strong especially after you take the freehub off the first time
