Just dusted off my 950 Singletrack to convert into a commuter and am curious about these 3 part of your build:
1. Seat
2. Light setup
3. Pannier rack

my first touring rig was this exact year and model that I found on craigslist for $20…
headset rusted closed, wheel trashed, shifters kaput. I put lipstick on that pig and frankenbiked it with what spare parts I had laying around. She wasn’t purty but she carried me hundreds of miles down the Big Sur coast line and got me hooked on cycle touring.
