Anyone use nylon tires on wet roads? Will they slip? I ordered a mtb tire online without knowing it was made of nylon. First time ever using nylon tire. Its not on the bike yet as im waiting for other items to arrive. But im wondering if the tire wont be good for wet roads just looking at it. I thought of putting it on my old mtb for casual riding around the area and not for actual mountain biking.

Cheap tires are bad in all conditions. Bike tires are cheap enough there’s no real reason to go for the bottom dollar option when you can get solid mid grade tires for not much more that will be faster, more comfortable, and safer.
Following cause I was just gifted a set of nylon slicks :0
follow up question, what part of the tire is nylon. If it is the casing, that is fine and normal. If it is the tread that seems really weird.
Either way an easy an safeish way to test traction is try to initiate a rear wheel lockup on the surface in question at slow speed. By getting a feel of how easy it is to slide in braking is a pretty good indicator for grip in other motions.
