I’m writing this while I have two vintage Proflex frames (856 and 757) hanging on the wall above me. One I stripped the paint off and polished the other is missing a shock.
I would build up at least one of them but I dont have enough spaces in current place for more complete bikes.

No way especially if it has XTR, parted out you would get a lot more than that, like just the forks and wheels should be worth more than that, it’s actually a bit of a bargain for 400 if condition is as good as it looks in the photo. This is the sort of bike that turns a lot of heads at vintage bike shows
