Slowly building this bike back up after acquiring all the parts grips on order
Do I Paint the frame (if yes, what color?)
or just raw clear coat?
Feel wrong hiding the beautiful braze work but I’m so torn on what to do
Ideally would like to find a color tinted clear coat, couldn’t find anything online..

I’d say no don’t paint. Those brazes are pretty damn clean and they kind of match the chain and other vibes. Stunning build as is 👌

Clear coat is not a primer. It doesn’t have zinc. The purpose of primer is to oxidize instead of the metal rusting. Clear coat is not sufficient protection against rust. It’s a moisture inhibitor, but not perfect. It will look cool until it rusts through, which will either be long enough or a disappointment. I’d go with a deep purple.

The bike looks great like that, a clear coat for protection would do the trick.

I’d paint it like a pearl white, but if you can, get it powder coated.
Beautiful! Forest green with glitter would look amazing.
