Hello all,

I have to make a decision between getting a canyon endurace cf slx 7 di2 or a giant defy advanced pro 1.

For context my sport of choice is triathlon. I already have a tt bike and am looking for a bike where I can go out for a spin without worrying about being in the most optimal aero dynamic position. That being said I like to go fast.

I have narrowed down my search to either a endurace or defy. I currently have an order for an endurace ready to go. If I wanted to get a defy I would have to wait until September according to my local giant dealer.

They are very similar in be price giant 5699 and canyon 5899. Spec wise they are pretty on par but the canyon does come with a power meter already. Something I would have to add onto the giant. After taxes and shipping the canyon comes out to be cheaper.

The only thing that scares me about the canyon is the fully integrated cockpit and not being able to change the stem length and I assume that it also makes maintaining the bike a hassle.

So should I go ahead with my order at canyon or wait until September for the 2025 defy to be available.
