it is day six of my journey from Saw to Sea down the river temps and I’m currently about 6 miles off Oxford there’s a bit of a tail wind today and obviously the current is taking me along I’ve worked out if I need to do stuff on my phone I can just kind of jam the O back there and then sort of control it with the other hand like a Rudder and that frees like one hand for me to be able to do things this is the boat we’ve got the Drone here in that bag got a solar panel from alkit I’m testing that out today and we’re just having a nice time it’s widened up as you can see and there’s hardly any River traffic on it and it’s just so Lush and green I’m enjoying it immensely oh and also amazing work with the fundraiser as well I’m raising money for the river trust I posted about it this morning and we’ve already raised close to two grand ridiculous I’ll leave a link in the bio where you can donate if you would like to help clean up the rivers in this country

  1. I live close to a very impprtant river that has about 2000km from my location to the sea. Ive been dreaming of doing something like this for many years so I'll be keenly watching the series. Maybe I'll make my dream happen ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. River trust have millions ,
It's a bankers dream , try raising money for the homeless, that you will see living under bridges when you get in to London,

  3. It's so bad that we have crowdfund sorting our rivers out when really it should be on our water companies to stop flooding them with faeces. I'll donate regardless

  4. Ah too late now but I just thought this would have been incredible to record Google Streetview of the river at the same time. They lend out streetview cameras for new remote routes I think. Might've made it seem more like work though? Maybe they can sponsor a second run.

  5. So.are you going to do other river treks in different places? I know I'd watch it if you continue with the series in other places and you have fairly endless content with all the waterways and rivers and such out there.

  6. We recently visited England from Oregon in the US. We stayed in Salisbury, Wiltshire. The rivers there are HAMMERED.

The UK beats the US in both long and round barrows (I miss them already) but I think you made a big mistake in privatization of your water/wastewater infrastructure, and the channelization of rivers is extreme in places. The access that cattle have to the streams is also a problem.

I'd still love to kayak on the rivers there, but I would be extra careful to wash my hands before eating.

  7. Man, i can get behind this. You aren't showing some chicks ass or trying to start an argument with strangers. We need more of this man!
