Exploring Vallée de la Clarée Ep. 5: Discovering Lac de la Cula – Stormy Hike & Sunny Finale

Welcome to the final episode of our “Exploring Vallée de la Clarée” series! In Episode 5, we embark on a dramatic journey discovering Lac de la Cula. The hike to the lake was challenging due to stormy weather, making it impossible to film the journey. However, between the rain showers, I captured stunning images of the Crêtes de Queyrellin, a jewel of the Cerces Massif, which accompanied us on our left throughout the hike. These images are presented in a slideshow in the first part of the video.

Lac de la Cula, nestled at an altitude of 2,489 meters, is known for its serene beauty and crystal-clear waters. The lake is surrounded by impressive mountain peaks and offers a peaceful retreat for hikers.

Miraculously, upon reaching Lac de la Cula, the weather cleared up, providing a sunny and serene setting. Witness the breathtaking transformation as we tour the lake and enjoy the captivating timelapse of clouds dancing above the mountain peaks and the lake.

Hello dear friends of Provisualstock! We are here at Lac de la Cula, in the last episode of our series Exploring Vallée de la Clarée. Our hike to Lac de la Cula took place in very bad weather with a lot of rain and storms. Because of this, I couldn’t film the entire hike as I did in the previous days. Instead, I was forced to stop between the showers and take some photos. I present these photos as a slideshow featuring Crêtes de Queyrellin, a jewel of the Cerces Massif, which accompanied us on the left side throughout the entire hike to Lac de la Cula. You can get the best overview of these peaks and the mountains behind them (Ecrins Massif) in the final part of our previous hike, just above Snake Lake. When we reached Lac de la Cula, the weather miraculously cleared up, allowing me to take a full tour of the lake and capture the timelapse you saw at the beginning of this video. The tour of the lake will be presented in the last part of the video. Lac de la Cula is located at an altitude of 2489m in the Vallée de la Clarée, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks of Crêtes de Queyrellin and providing mesmerizing reflections on its mirror-like surface. I will let you enjoy the tour of the lake without adding many comments.
