Hi guys, here i am with my first build lemme have your thoughts on it, it cost me 180€ in total, if u have some parts to advise me feel free to put the reference below !

  • Early 90’s MTB steel frame with stock fork, handlebar riser, rear wheel and hub and the seatpost assembly,
  • 16 teeth at the hub and 41 at the pedalboard
  • Front aluminum wheel that was abandoned 3 years ago hanging to a padlock in the street in front of my house
  • Tektro brakes levers but idk which model tbh, same for the brakes, just simple rim brakes, don’t know the brands either
  • Random pedalboard that I bought on Amazon cuz I didn’t want to throw a lot of money on something where I’m a beginner

The frame was owned by Bernard Hinault, a legend of French bike sports, he won the Tour de France 5 times and I think it’s a fun little piece of history !

Beautiful and a price point that can’t be beat.. Excellent gear ratio but consider a 42×17 or 42×19 if you decide to become a skidmaster. Love that you’re rocking front and back brakes. Never done it but seems very versatile. What kind of rides you gonna take it on, OP?
