it is day one of cycling around Iceland’s wiing Road and here’s how it went we woke up at camp and realized very quickly that this is going to be a chilly trip it took us a while to load up camp and pack up our bags but it is day one so you know that’s fine anyhow about half a mile into our ride my bike had some darly wobbling issues turned out my headset was loose and I needed to redistribute some weight on my bike but after we did that I was golden the first few miles of our ride were on a gravel road which was not ideal and then we got onto the Ring Road and had the smallest little shoulder to ride on with cars and semis whizzing by this was honestly more tiring than the riding itself we also experienced those famous gnarly headwinds got caught in a hail storm and Lucas rolled off the highway we ended up riding about 40 miles and we were stoked when we got to Camp because they had hot tubs so we grabbed some food in town and then came back to Camp to head to bed overall a very good intro to Iceland and I’m still pinching myself that we’re even here fall along for more as we cycle around the Ring Road
