Picked up my first vintage bike. Anyone know what year it is? Novara Trionfo. Based on color and Shimano tricolor components, I’m guessing 1990 at the latest?

Reach mech is a RD6400, appears to be 1988. Interesting.

Hm, interesting frame, also with Tange steel tubing(which was popular with japanese bike manufacturers like Panasonic). This one looks a bit odd from the cable guides perspective – they look very much pre ’90, while the fork is typical 90ies style.

Look for date stamps on all the components and the rims.
Wasn’t Novara REI’s in house brand of bicycles?
I’d say 1988 based on the parts
It’s in amazing shape
Beautiful!! Now change those pedals before I smack you.
Beautiful bike
1990 is a good guess, look on the inside of the crank arm for a model number like FC-6400
Also, we always want a pic of the drive side, rear derailleur can help ID a bike quickly.
[Disraeli has catalog pages here](https://www.disraeligears.co.uk/site/shimano_-_dealers_1990_product_manual_-_page_19.html)
This is what makes me think it’s a 1990:

That is the exact bike.
