Bending that back will probably result in a crack. That’s a pretty serious dent and the aluminum in that bent area will be work hardened and quite brittle.

The bead of your tire is exposed due to how extreme that dent is. You’re asking for a blowoff if you continue to ride that rim because the rim dent is a wedge that’s going to act just like the end of a tire lever. It’s going to assist with debeading that tire the next time you get a big pressure spike in that area.
Sure, there are plenty of people who will stupidly say “send it, brah!”, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right decision. Trust your gut here and be wary of people like that. That’s a deep dent. Attempting to bend it back will probably crack the rim (which is not to say the rim is suitable for riding as is, just to be crystal clear).
At the very least, remove that decal and tire and examine the metal directly. I see what could be indications that there are cracks below that decal.
The safe play? Replace that rim.

I’d replace personally for safety reasons.

You could try to bend it back, but risk a crack. Personally I would try to bend it back

That’s not a rim anymore even a little bit. Bontrager is one of the easier companies out there to get a new rim from; you could look it up on the public-facing site and see if it’s there.

If that’s a Line Comp 30, I have one that looked the same. The damage was bad enough that it kinked the inner wall; there’s no going back to round and it would be too weak to ride. If it’s just the bead wall, I was able to bend mine back, but I’m not sure I’d trust it. The Line Comps are light-duty rims (CX, light trail), but Trek includes them on far too many categories of MTB.

Replace. If you are original owner, Bontrager/Trek might sell you a replacement rim at a big discount. Worth contacting them or visiting a Trek dealer.

Rim is likely toast. Not safe to ride as is. You can try to bend it back, but I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t crack in the process.

Find a replacement rim, the same or one with a similar ERD, and a cheap wheel stand, and replace that. Great time to pick up some gear and learn a new skill for the price of a new wheel.

Rubbish unfortunately. Do not ride or repair. Time for a new one.
This happened to me and because there wasn’t a crack inside the rim where the folding was I’ve managed to bend back very carefully with pliers. Just put a bit of inner tube in between so you won’t scratch it while you do it. But do very very gradually.
If if you a crack inside the rim, I’d replace it the whole rim as advised.
Mine was also very rough metal exposed, so make sure everything is sanded to smooth.
For extra I also used a ParkTool GP-2 quick patch isolating that area from the tyre, so wouldn’t risk ripping it overtime.

First, you can’t bend aluminum back because it will crack or break off.
Second, with the rim and its current condition, you run the risk of the beat of the tire slipping over that and blowing out around a hard corner or landing.
Your safest and cheapest bet is to just get one new rim identical to it, THEN keep riding.

Not saying you shouldn’t replace it, just that you definitely don’t want to bend it back. Nothing good will come of that.
