I have one of the original Shadow half link chains from back in like 2005 and its been on my old bike, hasn’t been used or looked after in at least 15 years and it still looks brand new compared to yours! That’s crazy

Pull it, soak it in distilled vinegar for a few days, then dry it good and grease it up. Good as new.

Don’t retire it. Soak it in wd40, then carb cleaner, then silicone spray. Should look new again
